Central Coast

47.5” x 59.5” | fabric | 2022

California’s Central Coast includes long stretches of rugged coastline with rocky beaches and local pines and cypress, while just further inland, stands of native oaks are abundant. The photo (see original source image above) for the design of the Central Coast quilt was shot in Cambria at Fiscalini Ranch Preserve. Here, a mile-long bluff trail rises 200-feet above the shore and offers spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean below, while the preserve itself is home to hundreds of native plants and birds.

The Central Coast quilt wall hanging is assembled with over 740 pieces of individually cut and sewn pieces of rectangular and triangular fabric. The original art quilt is made with all new cotton materials. The bias tape was hand cut in the Textilepop studio from the same fabric and specifically matched to the color characteristics of this quilt.

The art quilt features a twill tape sleeve on the back for hanging and display. For pricing and general inquires, please click the link below.
